Saicho teams up with the Cocktail Trading Company
Saicho has teamed up with the talented Elliot Ball at the Cocktail Trading Company who has invented some truly delicious sparkling tea cocktails.
Reme-tea
A playful take on the modern classic - the Penicillin, the Reme-tea combines smokey whiskey, ginger, honey and citrus, and is lengthened by the darjeeling fizz to create a smokey and aromatic cocktail.
25ml peated whisky,
10ml lemon juice,
10ml honey,
2 coins ginger, muddled into the honey,
Shake and fine strain, top with 75ml Darjeeling expression.
Hojito
A herbaceous cocktail with rum as a vibrant backbone, lightened by some cucumber and mint for freshness, topped up with some Hojicha to create an uplifting drink that sits somewhere between a green tea and Mojito.
25ml white rum,
15ml lime juice,
10ml 1:1 sugar syrup,
5ml orgeat,
1 cucumber slice (muddled), 3 mint leaves,
Shake and fine strain, top with 75ml Hojicha expression.
Blossom 75
A delightful twist on the classic French 75, using Saicho Jasmine in place of sparkling wine to create a low-abv alternative, playing with the florality of the Jasmine tea and the botanicals of the gin to create a refreshing summer sip.
25ml gin
20ml fresh lemon juice,
15-20ml 1:1 sugar syrup,
Stirred and topped with 100ml jasmine expression.
